Southeastern Consortium Patient and Family Webinar
The Bronchiectasis & NTM Care Centers from the Southeast US have established a regional consortium dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients with a diagnosis of bronchiectasis (BE) and/or non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disease. The objectives include sharing of data, standard operating procedures, and research results and opportunities with a goal of enhancing care of patients with BE/NTM disease.
As part of the inaugural meeting, we will present a Patient & Family Webinar where speakers from the consortium will share their thoughts on topics relevant to the BE/NTM community.
Topics will include:
- · NTM and the environment
- · Diagnosis of bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease
- · Management of pulmonary exacerbations
- · Dealing with adverse drug reactions and medication intolerance
- · Role of gastroesophageal reflux disease and aspiration
- · Mental health
- · Novel therapies
